Product Note for North America
OJ Electronics is amending a misleading statement in our floor heating thermostat Quick Guides. The statement in picture 4 of the Quick Guide states "The floor sensor must not come in contact with electrical wires in the wall and must be routed outside the electrical box". Taken literally, inspectors have read this to mean that floor sensor wires cannot enter the electrical box.
OJ Electronics is correcting the statement, as OJ's floor sensors can indeed be installed through the junction box. We have now rephrased the text to:
Floor sensor must be routed to junction/electrical box in separate conduit from all other electrical wire. Ensure insulation on electrical wiring and floor sensor inside junction box is not damaged.
Any questions regarding this statement should be sent to our sales support team at email@example.com.
