FC frequency converters are used to control fan speed. They must be connected to an asynchronous AC motor, fitted to the motor itself, and the complete assembly installed within the fan air flow to provide cooling.
The mounting base for the frequency converters from OJ Electronics, are produced in two different designs. One design for mounting directly on an standard motor and the other design for internal mounting in an AHU, allowing easy access for the connection of power and control cables.
Once the cables have been connected, the frequency converter top is fitted to the base.
The frequency converter is controlled via Modbus RTU or a 0-10 V analogue signal. Frequency converter parameters can be easily set for the fan concerned, either via Modbus or by connecting a hand terminal. To ensure trouble-free operation and low installation costs, the frequency converters are equipped with built-in EMC filter.
